About Me

I’ve felt drawn to spirituality and a deeper connection with myself for as long as I can remember. My first step towards developing my own practice came in 2007, when I trained as a Reiki practitioner and later became a Reiki Master Teacher.

My interest in yoga actually began much earlier, back in my 20s. This was the 90s, when finding a yoga class meant pulling out the Yellow Pages! I found a class, but at that point in my life it simply wasn’t financially possible for me to go.

I finally discovered yoga when I was pregnant with my third baby. I’ll admit, I had the completely wrong idea that yoga was for cool, bendy people — and I didn’t think I fitted into either category!

I continued practising at home for many years before finally taking the leap and walking into an in-person class the year I turned 40. I was hooked!

I loved the physical benefits of yoga, but what kept me coming back was something much deeper. Yoga gave me a way to slow down a busy mind, reconnect with myself and begin to shift the way I looked at things both on and off the mat.

That experience has shaped the way I teach today.

I’m committed to creating a supportive and welcoming space where everybody can feel capable on a yoga mat. There is no right or wrong, no judgement and no expectation to look a certain way or achieve a particular pose — just a willingness to move, breathe, explore and see where the practice takes you.

Through yoga, Reiki and the practices I offer, I’m passionate about helping people recognise their own potential, develop greater self-awareness and feel more connected to themselves.

You don’t need to be bendy. You don’t need to be experienced. And you definitely don’t need to be cool.

You just need to come as you are.

With Love,
Shell x
